Each year, we proudly host our annual Christmas party and general meeting, bringing together our CHS community for a special evening of celebration and engagement. This event is typically held in November or early December and provides an opportunity for members to vote on the board.
Beyond the meeting, we invite all members to enjoy a festive night filled with holiday cheer, good company, and a chance to connect with other CHS families. It’s a wonderful way to wrap up the year, celebrate our shared accomplishments, and look forward to the future together.
The Hope for Little Heart Run/Walk is one of our most popular and anticipated fundraisers, bringing together families, friends, and supporters to raise awareness and funds for heart kids. This fun and inclusive event welcomes participants of all ages and fitness levels, whether you choose to run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines. It’s a fantastic way to get active, connect with the community, and make a meaningful impact.

The CHS is proud to give heart kids and their families an exciting weekend getaway to Jasper National Park every year. This fun-filled trip is packed with activities like skiing, ice skating, cookie decorating, trivia nights, and cozy movie nights. It’s a chance for families to enjoy some well-deserved time together while connecting with others who understand their journey. Whether they’re hitting the slopes, sharing laughs over games, or just relaxing by the fire, heart kids and their families get to make great memories and build friendships in a supportive and welcoming environment.
Each year over the May long weekend, CHS hosts a special camping trip at the beloved Ol' McDonald Resort, bringing together heart families for an unforgettable weekend of connection, fun, and relaxation. To foster a sense of community, we rent out a dedicated group campsite, ensuring all participating families can stay close together and share in the experience.
Families have the option to choose between tent camping or RV sites, accommodating a variety of preferences and needs. This shared space creates a warm and supportive environment where families can bond, share stories, and make lasting memories while enjoying the great outdoors.
The weekend is filled with engaging activities planned by CHS, such as hands-on crafts, relaxing lake days, and cozy evenings around the campfire roasting marshmallows and making s’mores. Meanwhile, the resort itself offers plenty of attractions, including a charming petting zoo, exciting amusement rides, and scenic horse-drawn wagon rides, adding even more magic to the weekend.
