Founded in 1982 by a group of dedicated mothers seeking support and guidance as they navigated their children's heart conditions, the CHS has since grown into a thriving and compassionate community. What started as a small network of parents has evolved into a strong organization committed to making a difference in the lives of heart kids and their families.

Over the years, CHS has raised thousands of dollars to support vital research into pediatric heart disease, helping to advance medical treatments and improve outcomes for children born with congenital heart defects. Beyond fundraising, CHS volunteers have collectively donated hundreds of thousands of hours, offering hands-on support, mentorship, and advocacy for heart kids and their families throughout the Edmonton area.
