Krista is honoured to be the Vice President of the Children’s Heart Society (CHS) and a dedicated advocate for heart families. After seven years as an active member, she took a brief hiatus but is now back and excited to be back working alongside an inspiring board to support the CHS community.
Krista’s journey with CHS began when her first son, Mason, was born with a heart condition and underwent lifesaving open-heart surgery at just four days old. The Children’s Heart Society quickly became a safe and supportive space for her family, offering connection and support that she could not find amongst other peer groups.
With a deep passion for helping other families navigate the complexities of congenital heart disease, Krista is committed to ensuring that CHS continues to be a source of support, connection, and community for those facing similar journeys.
Outside of the CHS, Krista is a busy Mom of three and owns a cookie business. You can often find her at the hockey arena, soccer field, or dance studio, balancing family life with her passion for baking and finding ways to support her community.
